Dunlap Senior Center

The Dunlap Senior Center is a community center offering programs, services and facilities geared toward older adults. The Center’s mission is to enhance quality of life by creating opportunities to support wellness, social connections, community engagement and lifelong learning for a diverse and growing older adult population. Our vision is to extend social involvement and end social isolation for people age 50+.

Meals

Dine-In Hours:
Monday – Friday
Opens at 11:00 A.M.  |  Meals are served at Noon

$5/meal for seniors (60 and older)
$12/meal for non-seniors

Carry out is also available. Carry-out meals will only be delivered within Dunlap city limits, but meals can be picked up at Noon.

All meals must be ordered no later than 9:00 a.m. the day prior.

A printed menu can be picked up at the Senior Center each week and viewed in the Dunlap Reporter.
Meals are prepared by TRIO Community Meals of Omaha.

For those who are new to the Senior Center, you must complete an intake form prior to your first meal. These forms are available at the Senior Center.


Parking

The Senior Center is located at 619 Iowa Ave. in Dunlap, Iowa.

There is one handicapped parking space and two spaces reserved for Senior Center Parking during meal hours, M-F.
There may be opportunities for you to get a ride, weather permitting. Call in advance or stop in to the Senior Center to discuss these options.

Activities

Enjoy BINGO on Fridays at 11:00 a.m., or a game of cards which often follows the meal.
On occasion, the Senior Center hosts guest speakers who share on relevant topics.
There are also board games and movies available to enjoy.


Fundraising

The Senior Center’s purpose is to enrich the community and improve the quality of life for adults age 50 and greater.
Donated funds support current operations and proposed building projects and improvements.

Please submit cash or checks made payable to Dunlap Senior Center, delivered or mailed to Dunlap Senior Center at 619 Iowa Ave., Dunlap, IA 51529.


Rent the Senior Center

The Dunlap Senior Center is available for rent as a meeting and event space.
The cost Is $100/day. Payment is due in full by time of rental and a rental agreement must be signed.
